As 2018 winds down to an end, you may be thinking about your goals for the coming year. The cold weather may make it more difficult to leave your house and workout, but there’s nothing like the New Year to give your motivation the kick start it needs.

If you’re worried about starting the year strong only to slack off a week into it, we’ve got the solution: a workout challenge. From a 30 days of barre to a six-week “Kill the Laziness” program, there are several Philly fitness providers who are here to help you make it through January without giving up on your resolutions. This Spring Garden area hybrid cycling and strength training gym is offering three different challenges to choose from. Tier 1 is a 21-day challenge that includes before and after measurements, a t-shirt upon completion, and 10 percent off your next BPM package purchase for the grand total of $75. For the $250 Tier 2 package, you get 30 days of unlimited classes, two private group workouts, a meal plan option, and 15 percent off your next BPM package purchase. Tier 3 offers 45 days of unlimited classes, two personal training sessions, a meal plan option, and 20 percent off your next BPM package purchase. Sign-ups open Sunday, December 23rd.

If you’re looking to jumpstart your New Year, this is the program for you. Fit Academy offers a community atmosphere and workouts that range from group to personal training that fit your specific needs. Maybe a community was what you were missing after all! This four-week “Commit to Fit” challenge kicks off with a launch party on Wednesday, January 9th and begins Monday, January 14th with group workouts, healthy recipes, and social accountability. Barre3 is taking a more mindfulness-based approach to their January challenge, one that’s not about shaming you into feeling like you have to work out. Their $99 month-long program — which is only open to new clients or those who haven’t been to the studio in six months — includes a guided weekly plan for taking three-plus in-studio classes, Barre3 online workouts, and meditations sessions via the Headspace app that have been curated just for Barre3. The challenge starts January 7th and you can sign up here.

CoreFit is kicking off the New Year with their CoreFit 30 challenge. This challenge will focus on restoring the entire body as it focuses on fitness, nutrition, and accountability.
