Yards Brewing Company’s Bridge Runs (Followed By Beer) Are Back!

Run the Ben Franklin Bridge, then reward yourself with a refreshing $3 local brew (or two or three).

Attention runners! It is our pleasure to tell you that Yards Brewing Company‘s monthly bridge run and happy hour series is back — and the inaugural run is kicking off tonight at 6 p.m.

Just like years past, runners will meet up at Franklin Square (6th and Race streets), with the run kicking off around 6 p.m. And of course, early arrival is always encouraged. From Franklin Square, the group will run across the Ben Franklin Bridge and back, ending the journey at the Yards brewery on Delaware Avenue for some seriously happy happy-hour deals. A $5 donation at the door will get you $3 beers for the evening and one free raffle ticket to put you in the running for some pretty sweet prizes like gift cards, vouchers and tickets to a bunch of local hot spots (think: Philadelphia Runner, Res Ipsa and Honeygrow, just to name a few). The best part? Aside from the free group run and cheap beer, proceeds benefit After-School All-Stars Philadelphia, a student mentoring program in Philly.

For next month’s run in May and continuing on through November, the happy hour runs will take place on the third Monday of the month — same place and time. RSVP and check out the details here, then gather up your running friends or make some new ones. A cold Yards Brawler is calling for you.
