What's better than plain ol' outdoor yoga? Poolside yoga.

You know what’s better than doing outdoor yoga in the summertime? Doing outdoor yoga next to a pool that you can dip your toes in afterward. And lucky for you, Swim Philly, the city initiative responsible for revamping four of the city’s public pools this year, just announced a schedule of free fitness happening at those pools along with the Francisville pop-up pool all summer long. And yes: Said schedule DOES include poolside yoga.

I could honestly cry tears of joy right now.

Swim Philly tweeted the schedule for free fitness yesterday. Here’s the deal: Francisville’s pop-up pool has aqua zumba on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and poolside yoga on Thursdays at 7 p.m.; Pleasant Playground in Mount Airy has aqua zumba on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and pooside yoga on Thursdays at 7 p.m.; the O’Connor Pool in Fitler Square has water yoga (ooooh!) on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.; West Philly’s Lee Cultural Center will have poolside yoga at 6 p.m. on Thursdays starting July 21st and aqua zumba on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. starting July 12th; and Lawncrest Recreation Center in the Northeast has aqua zumba at 6 p.m. on Mondays. All of the classes are free and ongoing through the summer, no need to RSVP. Just make sure to bring your own mat for the poolside yoga classes.

Now, our suggestion to you: Figure out which of these pools is closest to you and plan to head there every week to get your swim and sweat on. Because really, is there a better way to end the workday than by splashing around in a pool and getting a FREE workout? No. No, there is not.
