Mark Zuckerberg Creates Global Facebook Running Group

And challenges everyone to run 365 miles this year.

Yesterday, like many other normal humans out there trying to commit to a New Year’s resolution, Mark Zuckerberg posted one of his to Facebook. Unlike most other normal humans, his Facebook status received over 340,000 likes. And we’re pretty into his resolution for 2016: This year, Zuckerberg is committing to running 365 miles, and he’s invited all 47 million of his Facebook followers (and you!) to join him.

And yes, 365 miles sounds kind of terrifying. After all, that’s like 14 marathons. But he puts it nicely in the status when he says, “This is a lot of running, but it’s not a crazy amount. It’s a mile a day … “ Along with posting the status to Facebook, Zuckerberg started a Facebook running group (natch) for folks to post their progress, words of encouragement and load up on running-related advice. Think: The Run215, but for the world. Cool, right? As I write this, the group, named A Year of Running, has nearly 70,000 members.

So, any of your Be Well Philly readers going to commit to tackling that mileage, too? You can check out Zuckerberg’s full Facebook post below.

I have a physical challenge for 2016 as well.I’m going to run 365 miles and I’d love for as many people in this…
