If you’ve forever longed to be a part of the Run215 Facebook community — because free karaoke runs and cool armbands and all sorts of free fun! — but, well, you don’t run, we’ve got just the group for you: Back in November, Schuyler Nunn, of Chestnut Hill’s Indigo Schuy, and Amy Carolla, of Balance Chestnut Hill, teamed up to create iRunTheHill, a Facebook community inspired by Run215. The difference? This group is for any and all local outdoor enthusiasts: bikers, hikers, people who simply like to post up on a blanket and picnic in the Wissahickon (here, here!) — you name it. We told you guys all about the new Facebook group back in November, but we felt it was time for a refresher since iRunTheHill is having their very first in-person community run tonight. Hope you packed your sneakers in your work bag!

The free run will kick off at Iron Hill Brewery in Chestnut Hill at 6 p.m., and it will end back at the restaurant three to four miles later. The run is open to everyone and there’s no need to sign up beforehand. So go, get to know your fellow outdoor enthusiasts! And if you can’t make it, be sure to keep up with iRunTheHill on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram — we’re sure there will be plenty more events and community gatherings to come.
