Good news, vegan folks: The Vegan Commissary, now only open for weekend brunch, is expanding its hours — and its menu! — to include lunch and early-dinner service on Fridays and Mondays, and dinner service (in addition to brunch) on the weekends.

Starting tomorrow, May 1st, the vegan spot on South 11th Street will be open from 12 to 8 p.m. on Fridays and Mondays, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. And the spring menu for lunch and dinner looks seriously drool-worthy. Think seasonal goodies like Spring Pea Soup and twists on Philly classics, like a seitan cheesesteak. Oh! And they’ll be upping their vegan dessert game to satisfy your post-dinner sweet tooth, too. Yes, please.

As Martin told, me they decided to expand their hours after numerous customers asked them to. And if everything goes well, they might expand their hours to include more days, Martin says.

And you’re going to want to mark your calendars for this: Next Tuesday, May 5th, they’ll be open to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a special Mexican-themed dinner menu. Think vegan Nachos con Queso, Sopes, Spring Green Enchiladas, and more. Mmmm.
