To Do: Urbanfront Pilates’ Holiday Fundraiser
In the midst of holiday feasting, it can be easy to forget those who don’t have access to regular meals or proper nutrition. On December 4th, help Philadabundance fight food poverty by signing up for a workout at Urbanfront Pilates Third Annual Open House and Holiday Fundraiser.
You can register for an hour of the studio’s signature Xtend Barre class, an hour of Pilates bootcamp, or one of each. Joining in is free; all you need to bring is canned food or a $10 donation for Philabundance. Your contribution will help supply soup kitchens, emergency food cupboards and senior centers, feeding 65,000 low-income earners in Philly and its surrounding counties.
Not to mention you’ll offset those tempting Turkey Day leftovers. Urbanfront’s Xtend and Pilates classes employ stretches and isometric strength exercises that improve flexibility, balance and muscle tone all a once. Suited for any age, it’s a great way to burn calories and build a healthy body just in time for Christmas. Visit the studio’s Facebook page to reserve your spot!
December 4th, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Urbanfront Pilates, 1700 Sansom Street (2nd Floor), 215-564-4410
