For Cyclists: American Cancer Society’s 39th Annual Bike-A-Thon

Log miles for a good cause

Join the crowd at the Ben Franklin Bridge

Join the American Cancer Society on July 10 for their 39th Annual Bike-A-Thon to raise money for cancer research, advocacy, education, and patient programs and services. So far this year, cancer has taken 28,560 lives in the state of Pennsylvania alone. Help decrease that number (and benefit your own health) with either a 61- or 100-mile route from the Ben Franklin Bridge to Buena Vista, NJ. Join a team or ride as an individual, and choose the amount of cash you are able and willing to raise for the event. Over $850,000 has been raised so far, but of course every penny helps. Thousands of Americans battling cancer will thank you (and so will your quads). – Kathryn Siegel
