Chicken Wings & Crudite – Wings are the essential football food and Canter Hill Farm has them ready from their pasture raised chickens for your hot-saucing plans. Look for them at both the Bryn Mawr and Chestnut Hill markets. Stop by the table at Flying Plow Farm from Rising Sun, Maryland, a special visitor to the Bryn Mawr market, for hakurei turnips, radishes, and freshly dug carrots to cool the buffalo wing burn.

Chili – Good Spoon Foods is bringing their ready to go grass-fed beef chili to the Rittenhouse market this weekend. Whether you’re dolloping it on nachos, hot dogs, potato skins, or eating it straight-up, it’s a righteous cold weather convenience food.

Pastured Pig Bacon – Many, many game day snacks include bacon, and the best bacon around is from pastured pigs. Pick some up this weekend at Rittenhouse from Rambling Roots farm. In addition to thick-cut bacon from their pigs, they’ll also have ham steaks, scrapple, and other cuts of pork.

Bread & Rolls – Up your hoagie game with local bread from Wild Flour at Rittenhouse this weekend, or look for gluten-free alternatives at Amaranth.

Sausage – All Canter Hill Sausage is $2 off per pound this weekend at the when you buy two or more packages at either the Bryn Mawr or Chestnut Hill markets. This week only, they’re featuring a couple of discontinued crowd favorites such as Buffalo Blue Cheese Chicken Sausage, Roasted Red Pepper Chicken sausage, and Pork Chorizo.

Chips, Dips, and Snacks– On what other day is it acceptable to eat chips for dinner? Stock up on tortilla chips and things to dip it in at Anita’s Guacamole (Chestnut Hill), Lancaster Hummus (Rittenhouse Square). Pressure to snack on the sweet side of things? Check out the sweet popcorns from MoJo’s Pop Co. (Rittenhouse).
