Williams Added To Injury Report

A surprise name appeared on the Eagles’ injury report Thursday: Cary Williams.

The starting cornerback apparently injured his hamstring during Thursday afternoon’s practice. He had not been on the injury report previously during the week. Williams was officially listed as a limited participant. On Friday, the Eagles will have to designate him as out, doubtful, questionable or probable.

Linebacker Najee Goode (hamstring) and safety Earl Wolff (knee) were limited participants. Brandon Boykin (hip) was also listed on the injury report, but was a full participant.

Williams has started every game for the Eagles this season and played 95 percent of the team’s snaps.

If he can’t go, Roc Carmichael would likely take Williams’ place alongside Bradley Fletcher. The other option is Boykin, but defensive coordinator Billy Davis‘ preference all season has been to keep Boykin in the slot.
