WATCH: A French Pop Duo Covers “Streets of Philadelphia”
Tal & Irma are beloved in France. We think.
We don’t really know anything about Tal & Irma, but we gather a couple of things: A) They’re a French pop duo that is at least B) somewhat beloved, because C) this video of them covering Bruce Springsteen’s “Streets of Philadelphia” has attracted nearly 50,000 views in less than a week.
Solemn faces and lots of Philadelphia street scenes. The French are sure to love it.
We can’t tell you much more about this, other than it seems to be part of a project where French musicians cover songs made famous in American movies. The album encompassing the project, Les Stars Font Leur Cinema, is due out April 27. Or, at least, that’s what we’re guessing with our rudimentary French.
