#9 on the 2008 Philly Mag 50

This tiny rowhome in West Chester is an unexpected repository of classic French technique. Peter Gilmore’s repertoire, refined during his 22 years at Le Bec-Fin, still includes some old-school French dishes, but most of the constructions here have a more contemporary feel. Tuesday though Thursday, there’s a bargain $60 five-course tasting menu, and a $35 “Bistro Menu.”

They do everything very well. The food is what you go for, but the entire experience is what makes it the perfect location for a special occasion or any just a nice night out. There is nothing better! Outstanding. Superb.
