In our Fall/Winter 2015 issue, we featured a very artsy local couple who had a really beautiful wedding at Stotesbury Mansion last October (Hi Erin and Allen!). The bride DIY-ed a handful of things for the Big Day, but what stood out to me the most was the colorful paper garland that served as the backdrop for their ceremony (you can see it here)—Erin and her mom strung all of the circular cut-outs by hand!

I’ve seen a ton of similar ceremony backdrops since then, and it’s now one of my favorite ways to add a touch of whimsy to your wedding décor. Whether you go with a confetti design like Erin did or opt for something more multidimensional (like paper cranes, flowers and tassels), there are options to match every style.

There’s no better place to find décor of this kind than on Etsy, so we scoured the site and singled out a few lovely choices. Take a look below and let us know if you find one you love—we’re obsessed with the tissue paper garland pictured above, and it’s made by an artist here in Philly!
