Here Are the Wawa Welcome America Road Closures

You'll want to refrain from driving anywhere near the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Old City this Fourth of July.

Philly has released a list of road closures for the 2017 Wawa Welcome America festival – and it’s quite extensive.

The six-day festival, which kicks off this Thursday and runs until July 4th, will feature performances from Mary J. Blige and Boyz II Men, among other events.

The most significant chunk of road closures will occur on July 3rd and 4th, near Eakins Oval and in Old City. The city has released maps of the closures. 

July 3rd

Eakins Oval

The inner lanes of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway will shut down at 9 a.m.

Between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., the inner southbound lane will reopen. At 7 p.m., the lane will close again, and both lanes will remain closed until 5 a.m. on July 5th.

July 4th

Between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on July 5th, the following closures will be in effect:

The Independence Parade will affect the following streets starting at 7 a.m.:

At 10:30 a.m., the following closures will go into effect and last until 3 p.m. on the 4th:
