Police: Knife-Wielding Skateboarders Rob Teens in South Philly

Authorities say they made off with an iPhone and a whopping $11 in cash.

Police are looking for three skateboarders wanted for a knifepoint robbery in South Philadelphia.

The incident occurred back on March 19th. According to police, two 14-year-old boys were on Darien Street between Catharine and Christian streets when they were approached by the three teens seen in the above surveillance photos.

Police say that the skateboarders threatened the victims with a knife before taking an iPhone and a whopping $11 in cash from them. The suspects then allegedly made a getaway on their skateboards, fleeing west on Catharine Street. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Investigators describe the suspects as follows:

Suspect #1: Black male, 14-15 years-of-age, 5’4”, wearing a black hat, black jacket, and red sneakers.

Suspect #2: Black male, 14-15 years-of-age, 5’10”, wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt, white/blue hat, grey sneakers, and black pants.

Suspect #3: White male, 13-14 years-of-age, wearing a white hat, black coat, blue jeans and black sneakers.
