Chelsea Clinton, Who Is Basically From Philly, Is Buying This $10.3M Apartment

Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky, Philadelphia’s power couple (except they don’t live in Philadelphia and only one of them is from Philadelphia and he’s actually from Montgomery County), are moving into The Whitman, a condo in the Flatiron District of Manhattan. It’s got 4 bedrooms, 6.5 baths and big, you-are-there views of Madison Square Park. Fortunately for the famous Philly couple, security is tight: Along with a 24-hour doorman, there are locked elevators and private elevator landings.

The deal for the 5,000-square-foot pad was brokered by Melanie Lazenby of Douglas Elliman, who sounds like a lovely person. Her father is one-time James Bond George Lazenby who sounds like the opposite of a lovely person. So good for you, Melanie.

But back to Philadelphia. If Marc Mezvinsky’s name rings a bell, it’s either because he’s a.) married to Chelsea Clinton, or b.) the son of Marjorie Margolies, who we know to be a lovely person, and Ed Mezvinsky, who has often been the opposite of a lovely person. Marc takes after his mother, from what we hear.
