Monday: Thumpers (with Sun Club & Mock Suns)
London-based duo Thumpers will take Johnny Brenda’s tonight with their brand of funky alt-pop: “a celebration of the breathless sensations of youth and coming of age.” You’ll be off your bar stool the second their addicting single "Unkinder (A Tougher Love)" escapes the speakers. Tickets can be purchased online. Monday, August 25th, Doors: 8 p.m., First set: 9 p.m., $12, 21+, Johnny Brenda’s, 1201 N. Frankford Ave.

Tuesday: Kevin Morby & Steve Gunn (with Mary Lattimore & Jeff Zeigler Duo)
Previously a singer and guitarist for Brooklyn band The Babies, Kevin Morby has recently released Harlem River, his solo debut. He’ll take the stage at Underground Arts on Tuesday night with New York guitarist Steve Gunn. You’ll be lucky enough to catch the unique musical stylings of harpist Mary Lattimore and local Jeff Zeigler as well. The lineup will not disappoint. Tickets are available here. Tuesday, August 26th, 8 p.m., $12, 21+, Underground Arts, 1200 Callowhill Street.

Wednesday: Motley Crue (with Alice Cooper)
Allentown Fairgrounds is hosting Motley Crue this Wednesday evening for a stop on their Final Tour, and we assure you, they definitely won’t be back for an encore. The glam metal bad boys signed an agreement vowing to permanently dissolve their group following this tour, so catch one last “Girls, Girls, Girls” performance while you can. Plus, Alice Cooper, who at 66 still puts on quite the rock show is opening. Tickets are available here. Wednesday, August 27th, 7 p.m., Allentown Fairgrounds, 302 North 17th Street.

Thursday: Splintered Sunlight, A Grateful Dead Tribute
Deadheads unite: The Ardmore Music Hall will feature a tribute to the psychedelic rock gods on Thursday evening. The band—who have played with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead—has a solid playlist of over 200 songs, spanning the band’s 30-year career. Tie-dye optional (but you’d be silly not to). Tickets are available here. Thursday, August 28th, 8:30 p.m., $10, Ardmore Music Hall, 23 East Lancaster Avenue.

Friday: Journey
If you’re beach bound this holiday weekend, head to Caesar’s Atlantic City to catch five-decade-old Journey belt out their greatest hits. Chances are you’ll be hearing their songs at the bar anyway. You can still snag tickets here. Friday, August 29th, 9 p.m., Caesar’s Atlantic City, 2100 Pacific Avenue.

Saturday & Sunday: Budweiser’s Made in America Festival
With a lineup star-studded enough to span two days of Labor Day Weekend, Budweiser’s Made in America festival returns to the parkway. Kanye West, Kings of Leon, Tiesto, The National, J.Cole, Steve Aoki, City and Colour, Pharrell Williams, and Spoon will take the stage over the course of the two-day blowout, and that’s just naming a few.
