Michael Vick’s Fund-raiser at Tashan

The Eagles QB and wife Kijafa Frink host "7-themed" party to benefit Team Vick.

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Vick (Kijafa Frink) enter Tashan restaurant at 777 South Broad Street last night. The address was all part of the theme of the Philadelphia Eagle’s jersey, which is numbered “7.” The event took place on the 7th of the month and the party started at 7 p.m. The cocktail fund-raiser was for the Vicks’ foundation “Team Vick,” which is committed to supporting people in need, especially the youth.

Below: Munish Narula, owner of Tashan, with executive chef Sylva Senat. Senat tells me Vick wanted many of Tashan’s signature dishes, but really loved the chicken and shrimp kabobs and wanted them on the menu.

Below: Kathryn Ott Lovell, executive director at Fairmount Park Conservancy, and Meg Holscher, director of development at Fairmount Park Conservancy, stopped by to show support. A portion of the proceeds from the evening’s event goes to renovate a football field in North Philadelphia’s Hunting Park. It’s now called Team Vick Field. Other athletes helping Hunting Park through the Fairmount Park Conservancy are Ryan Howard, funding the baseball field, and Billie Jean King, sponsoring the dual-use tennis courts. King will be honored by the Fairmount Park Conservancy at the annual gala Thursday, May 16, 2013.

Below: Everyone’s favorite Philadelphia Eagles magician, long snapper Jon Dorenbos (right) was on hand to entertain the crowd. James Boney (left) and Matt Nadu (center) were amazed by Dorenbos’ slight of hand. Dorenbos participates in lots of charity events in the off season. Next up for him: The Arc of Delaware County on February 23rd, where he will host and emcee a night of comedy for people with disabilities.

Below: Women of Media! Jenice Armstrong, Daily News, Sheinelle Jones, Fox 29, Elizabeth Wellington, Inquirer, Kharisma McIlwaine, CW, and Rakia Reynolds, Skai Blue Media, all told me that 2012 was great, but 2013 is going to fabulous.

Below: Jermaine Washington and Stephanie Morrison came out to support their friends.

Below: Newlyweds Charlie Mack Alston and Tasha Alston with Michael Vick. The Alstons were married on December 20th, with Will Smith serving as Alston’s best man; the singer Tyrese was also in the wedding party. The duo stayed local for most of their honeymoon, first hitting Atlantic City, then going to the Poconos, which Tasha said was very relaxing and enjoyable. Alston then told me they topped it off with a quick trip to L.A. to visit friends.

Below: Kellie Meyer and Vince DeFruscio, CBS 3. Kellie just returned from London, where she took a job for a year and lived the British lifestyle (what a year! she was there for the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics). She returned to her hometown of Wilkes-Barre in time for a White Christmas.

Below: Carmena Ayo-Davies, 3BG Marketing Solutions, Kijafa Vick (wearing her Christmas earrings from Michael Vick), Kharisma McIlwaine and Chi-Chi Enrique wearing her PNK Elephant jewelry. Kijafa said that she and Michael really want to stay here in Philly next season. She’s a Philly girl, and her family and friends are here. Crossing my fingers.

Below: The media was out in full force waiting to interview Vick to get his opinions on Andy Reid, and Vick’s future. I ran into John Clark, from NBC 10 and Mike Jerrick, Fox 29.

Below: Shoe maven Beth Shak was there with her friend Nikki Donze. Beth will be resting her Manolo Blahnik shoes courtside at 76ers games this season, after she was the high bidder for a VIP night with limo service and tickets to catch a basketball game.

Below: Jorge Diaz, Genesis Cordova and radio hostess Christina Sanchez, director of communications at Queen Diva Radio.

DN fashion photographer Reuben Harley and his little brother, DJ Damage. The talent in that family is amazing. DJ Damage is already making a big name on the Philadelphia music scene.

Below: Eric Parker and Christine Krzyzanowski, senior partner at Philadelphia marketing firm Two Affix. Krzyzanowski spent the holidays in Palm Beach at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club, and is looking forward to a busy year of great events. First up: a Thaddeus Young charity event in March. Details soon, she promises me.
