HughE Dillon: Lady Gaga Hits the Philly Stage

Plus: President Obama's local speech and the President Clinton/Tony Blair award ceremony at the National Constitution Center

On Monday night, Tony Blair received the 2010 Liberty Medal at the National Constitution Center from President Clinton. On Tuesday afternoon, President Barack Obama gave his second annual back-to-school speech at Masterman. And then, of course, Lady Gaga came to town. Tuesday night was the first of two Philly concerts Lady Gaga is giving at the Wells Fargo Center. See who dressed up in what to attend on today’s slideshow. (No meat dresses, we promise.)

Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith went backstage the night of Patti LaBelle‘s first performance in the Broadway musical production of Fela! at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre. LaBelle in the role of Fela’s mother, Funmilayo, is scheduled to run through to January 2, 2011, the show’s final performance. LaBelle assumes the role from Tony Award-winner Lillias White.

On Monday night, Philadelphia Eagle Brent Celek had a meeting at Morton’s in Philadelphia to finalize plans for his upcoming Celebrity Servers event, which will be held on October 25th.  Proceeds from the event will go to Brent Celek’s Take Flight Foundation.

Finally, Lady Gaga’s bus was seen last night in the vicinity of Geno’s and Pat’s. Wonder if she made a dress out of cheesesteaks?
