Michael Vick spoke with the media for the first time since sustaining a concussion against the Cowboys back on November 11. Nick Foles has since been named the starter, leaving the star quarterback without a starring role and with little control over his future for the moment.
Vick was asked if he still wants to be In Philadelphia given all that has transpired this season, and whether he would be open to returning next season as a backup.
“I just feel like I have a lot of football to play,” Vick responded. “I feel like I have a lot left in my tank. I’m enjoying the game, I feel fresh. I don’t know, man, I’ll have to talk it over with my agent and just see what happens. As of right now I have to continue to help this football team win these last two games and the future will take care of itself.”

It could be an interesting day at the NovaCare Complex, as we may just get to hear what’s going through the quarterback’s mind after losing the starting gig to Nick Foles.
Vick’s short-term future is a bit fuzzy. We know that Foles will start the remaining two games barring injury, but Andy Reid would not even commit to the one-time franchise quarterback being the primary backup the rest of the way. Or even active.
If you are looking to take something positive out of this season (or at least for a way to ease your despair), focus on the Eagles’ youth.
An improbable 16 players have made their NFL debuts this season and nine have made their first NFL starts. Whether earning their position outright or forced into action by injury, eight rookies — Brandon Boykin, Bryce Brown, Fletcher Cox, Vinny Curry, Nick Foles, Damaris Johnson, Dennis Kelly and Mychal Ke ndricks — have all played meaningful snaps. A few others (Chris Polk, Marvin McNutt, Ryan Rau) have had at least a taste of the action.

Nick Foles was far from the Eagles’ only problem in their 34-13 loss to the Bengals, but after an impressive performance the previous week against the Bucs, the rookie did not play well.
On their last five possessions, the Eagles had an interception, two fumbles and two three-and-outs. They scored 13 points, and one scoring drive started at the Bengals’ 29, while another began at the Bengals’ 12.
Foles went 16-for-33 for 182 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Two incompletions were dropped, and he threw the ball away twice.

Nick Foles was asked during his postgame press conference what he felt the biggest difference was between his performance on Thursday night compared to Sunday’s outing against the Bucs.
“We lost,” he said. “That’s it.”
But it isn’t.
We are learning that Foles prefers to talk about the overall good of the team rather than focusing on himself. Meanwhile, the public is focusing on him because, well, they are also interested in the overall good of the team and want to know if he is capable of leading the charge back to sound health.
His play against the Bengals was less than ideal. The rookie went 16-of-33 for 182 yards with a touchdown and an interception for a 62.9 quarterback rating. He was also credited with a lost fumble. It is a step back from his stellar game in Tampa, which led Jeremy Maclin to say: “You guys are seeing Nick Foles grow into a phenomenal quarterback right in front of your eyes.”
