Faces of Family Business
From the bankers and contractors you trust most, to the eateries that help bring you and your family together, these are the Faces of Family Business in the Greater Philadelphia region.

The Bonnettes
Rick Bonnette, Founder and Senior Financial Advisor of the Bonnette Ross Group at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, applies his experience as a coach in his leadership role. The team he’s assembled, with his long-time business partner, Mary Ross, is comprised in part of family members Breton, Eric, Emily and Victoria Bonnette. They work with clients to guide and inform decisions about their finances and futures. “As a family, we have experienced nearly every situation one can,” says Rick, “and we bring real life experiences to temper our advice and guidance.” With over 75 years of combined experience, the Bonnette Ross Group is poised to deliver first class service to their clients.

The Gushners
In 1938, brothers Alex and Albert Gushner founded Boyds, a men’s clothing store in Center City. Over the next 80 years the store would grow into an iconic Philadelphia institution for fashionable men and later, women. Now, four generations later, this family business makes it a point to keep that kindred spirit alive by welcoming their customers into what current owner, Kent, and his son, Alex Gushner, consider to be their home away from home.

The Chevaliers
Robert Chevalier met his wife, Jan, working in the furniture industry. It made sense then that two would go on to acquire their own company, Corporate Facilities, Inc. (CFI), which serves as the sole source for award-winning Knoll designer furniture in Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey, Delaware and the Lehigh Valley. Now, over 30 years later, his family, including his daughters, Stacey and Amanda, and his son-in-law, Steve, continue to build a business that prides itself on the diversity of its growing staff and its mission to stay fair, every step of the way.
