Easter Brunch Options at Philadelphia Restaurants

Easter comes to us this Sunday, March 27th and of course lots of restaurants are offering special Easter brunches with the likes of lemon ricotta pancakes and lots and lots of ham.

Here are our choices for best brunch options for everyone from the bread lovers to the buffet lover.

For the Bread Lover

On Easter Sunday, Old City’s Fork will offer a special Easter Brunch menu for $40 per person. Dishes will include starters like yogurt parfait, celery root soup, duck confit salad, polenta and roasted mushrooms, take your meal to the next level with add-ons like the not to be missed house pastries, breads and spreads or house-smoked fish and bagels. Each add-on is $15 per person.

Check out the formerly French La Peg at Fringe Arts where Peter Woolsey will be showing off his new brunch menu via a $25 per person prix fixe menu. Creamed chipped beef, blueberry muffin beignets, Oysters Rockefeller, salmon gravlax with farmer’s cheese and roasted leg of lamb are among the highlights.

For the Second Helping King or Queen

It’s the modern steakhouse’s first shot at a holiday brunch. The buffet-style brunch is $65 per adult and $22 per child under 10. Dishes will include carved meats, an omelet station, local cheeses, house-made charcuterie, pastry and desserts and most importantly, a Bloody Mary Bar.

The recently opened Old City restaurant is turning up the heat with garlic honey hot chicken. If that’s too much, there’s ham steak and eggs with thick country pit ham steak, pickled peaches, egs, wild mushroom hash and redeye gravy.

For the Big Hat Fancier

Stop in to the South Street institution for lemon ricotta pancakes, lobster frittata and Easter ham. The sidewalk cafe will offer front row seats to the Headhouse Easter Promenade where awards will be presented to the best dressed.

For the Sausage Aficionado

George Sabatino’s Aldine always offers house-made bacon and breakfast sausage served with maple syrup and hot sauce. But on this special day there will also be soft poached eggs on a house-made English muffin, gluten free pancakes with honey whipped cream, vanilla butter and berry compote and pulled beef short ribs with stewed white beans and a fried egg. For the sweet tooth, an order of warm yeast donuts with black pepper caramel sauce is a must.
