These Philly Wedding Pros Prove that Balloons Make Totally Chic Wedding Decor

More fun ideas to steal: caricature escort cards and an Insta-worthy popsicle truck.

Forget blushes and neutrals for a moment — in 2018, it’s all about bright, poppy color when it comes to wedding decor. This fun styled shoot from Brittney Raine Photography and Shannon Wellington Weddings at Skybox Event Center in Fishtown drives that point home, and it does so with fun details like watercolor stationery, super-cute caricature escort cards, a highly Instagrammable popsicle truck, and stylish wedding day fashion. See for yourself in the photos below!

Skybox Events, located at 2424 York Street, is a prime local industrial venue with tons of natural light and a neutral pallet, making it the perfect blank canvas for all sorts of wedding aesthetics. The 20-foot balloon installation, created with balloons from One Stylish Party, is arguably the star of the show in this day. It serves as an altar of sorts — and the most unique one we’ve ever seen, at that — for this funky union. The brightness was paired down by graphic white benches that easily transitioned into seating for dinner. The bubble gum pink, plum berry, cherry red, marigold and royal blue colors — a totally unexpected palette for a wedding — are found in just about every detail of the day, setting a fun and playful tone.

Caricatures of each guest, carefully crafted by Caricatures by Courtney, adorned one of Skybox’s blank walls and served dual roles of decor and escort cards. Simple tables and seating for dinner were embellished with details in the playful color palette while mixing in some modern accents like the teal china and brush-stroke menus.

The playful soda bar and dessert table (love that graphic cake!) is a fun detail that brings in more visual interest without the high costs of a floral display. As we already know, bringing in a food truck is a fun way to feed your guests, and we have to say that hand-held food like these popsicles from Lil’ Pop Shop were a brilliant (and perfectly nostalgic) idea.

By night’s end, everyone was clearly craving some indulgent snacks to soak up the evening’s fun so, naturally, milkshakes and fries from Mugshot Diner were a must — the perfect fuel to send a couple off on their bicycle getaway. Brides- and grooms-to-be, can you picture yourselves celebrating your love in this colorful way?
