Many of you—since we can only imagine the amount of Nova-alum readers we’ve got!—might be familiar with the Villanova Conference Center and Montrose Mansion on Villanova’s campus right off the Main Line. Although the spaces were always owned by the university (and functioned as a kind of combo event space), they were run by Aramark—until the school decided to take all operations in-house this past fall.

Soon after, in late November, renovations began—and by June, the new space will be up and running as The Inn at Villanova University (the mansion has not been officially renamed yet).

In the conference-center-turned-inn, expansive changes are being made to the ballroom, meeting space, guest rooms, patio and landscaping. The ballroom will be able to seat up to 220 of your nearest and dearest for a sit-down reception—and then for those guests who’d like to crash upstairs, there will be 30 new king rooms (including one suite), 24 queen rooms, and two queen ADA rooms. No changes are slated for the mansion just yet, but with a capacity of 60, it’s still great for rehearsal dinners, showers and smaller gatherings.

The mansion is still open for tours during construction, so if you’re interested in checking that space out or inquiring about the Inn’s spaces for your future nuptials, call 610-519-8000 to chat with the staff or set up a time to go see it for yourself.
