This Woman Has Caught More Bouquets Than All Your Bridesmaids Combined

If you or someone you know has caught the bride’s bouquet at a wedding more than 46 times, you had better act fast because a Utah woman is applying to be in the Guinness Book of World Records for catching precisely that many bundles of marital blooms at the 80-some weddings she has attended in recent history. She is known in some circles as the ‘Bouquet Slayer.’

People has the story of the always-the-bridesmaid-(or guest)-never-the-bride, who is so proud of her double-digit bouquet catches that she keeps each and every one of her prizes (dried and sprayed with lacquer, of course) in a display chest in her home (a picture of which is in the article).

The Slayer, aka Jamie Jackson, recommends that girls who wish to follow in her footsteps position themselves squarely in the front of the single-girl pack, and that they kick off their high heels for ultimate maneuverability.

And with less and less brides these days doing the whole bouquet-toss thing, we can’t help but feel this number is especially impressive, and support Ms. Jackson in hoping there is one day a sequel to 27 Dresses called 46 Bouquets.
