When you think about the drinks that will be served at your wedding—signature or otherwise—your thoughts are most likely focused on the cocktails, and not so much on the coffee and tea service that’ll wrap up your reception. More often than not, your venue or caterer has the whole thing taken care of—but why not treat your guests to a smooth, small batch cup of joe from one of Philly’s many local roasters?

Yes, those tasty mugs of local coffee that you sip all over the city can be served up at your wedding, as well—which is something we’ve seen more and more of these days as the population of coffee geeks in this city continues to rise. Whether you have them set up a coffee bar inside your venue or simply supply the beans for your caterer to brew, you can’t go wrong with serving specialty (and local!) coffee on your Big Day.

Below are a few local favorites that you’ll want to consider for your Big Day. Is your morning must-have on the list?

GreenStreet Coffee Co.
Where: 1101 Spruce Street, Washington Square West
What: GreenStreet cafe barista Tim Pearson is the mastermind behind Top Hat Espresso Catering, a coffee catering company that brings GreenStreet’s local brews to events all over the city. The Top Hat team offers four different packages, including anywhere from two to eight hours of espresso service, for you to choose from, plus a menu full of drinks for your guests to enjoy.

La Colombe
Where: Multiple Philly-area locations
What: La Colombe has long been a Philadelphia staple and if you can’t start your day without it, you’re in luck: The La Colombe team has a variety of packages to accommodate events of all styles and sizes. Not only can they cater your wedding, but depending on the time of your affair, they can serve up to 150 guests in their Fishtown location, too (you know, in case you love La Colombe so much that you want to have your party there).

ReAnimator Coffee
Where: 310 West Master Street, Kensington and 1523 East Susquehanna Avenue, Fishtown
What: While ReAnimator Coffee is already sold to many catering business (who then serve it at your wedding), there are ways to guarantee that your guests will be sipping their coffee. Whether you opt for their fully-staffed, pour over by-the-cup coffee service or you have them just drop off pre-brewed coffee for you to serve, the ReAnimator team can accommodate most event requests.

Rival Bros.
Where: 2400 Lombard Street, Rittenhouse
What: Though they no longer have the Rival Bros. Truck (which, before they launched their brick and mortar in Rittenhouse, served their coffee and made appearances at events) you can still serve Jonathan Adams and Damien Pileggi’s famous brew on your Big Day. Just talk to the guys about ordering a bulk quantity of whole bean coffee—which they’ll give you at a discounted rate—for your caterer or venue to brew.

Old City Coffee
Where:  221 Church Street, Old City and Reading Terminal Market
What: Old City Coffee received our Best of Philly award this year for their coffee catering (of the office variety) but you can request their services for your reception, too. For weddings they’ve done espresso bars and even custom drinks, all made with their Arabica beans which are roasted in the Reading Terminal Market.
