A documentary focused on John du Pont, the wrestling coach who murdered Olympic gold-medal-winning wrestler Dave Schultz, premieres tonight on ESPN.

du Pont’s life was told in fictionalized form in last year’s Foxcatcher starring Steve Carrell. Now ESPN’s 30 for 30 documentary series is taking a closer look at the true story behind the movie.

“Growing up as a kid in the Philadelphia area, the story of John du Pont and his Foxcatcher wrestling team was one of the most peculiar and terrifyingly weird local stories I’d ever heard,” director Jesse Vile said in a statement released by ESPN. “It was something that had fascinated me for many years and it’s a story I’ve always wanted to tell.”

The Prince of Pennsylvania airs at 9 p.m. tonight on ESPN.
