Man Crush Monday: Gayborhood Famous
Get a compelling long read and must-have lifestyle tips in your inbox every Sunday morning — great with coffee!
Every week, Philly gay gents share their local picks for Man Crush Monday. Today, always snarky and completely anonymous local Twitter personality Gayborhood Famous (@gayinthebigcity) shares his picks for the Gayborhood’s hottest hotties.

In case you aren’t familiar with my Twitter exploits, I’m totally Gayborhood Famous! I like to go out, have fun, meet cute boys, and document my adventures. I am not afraid to kiss and tell, but I promise to keep your identity almost as much of a secret as I do my own. Think of me kind of like the Gayborhood’s “Gossip Girl” without the horrible lonely boy haircut. I’m excited to share my picks for ManCrush Monday. So that you don’t think I’m totally shallow, I’ve included some of my favorite guys from the Gayborhood who’ve got more going for them than just their looks—although they are pretty cute too! P.S. Follow me on Twitter @gayinthebigcity.

Jeff Ansten
I’ve known Jeff for a couple years now and you won’t meet a better guy. Most people probably know him from bartending Saturday nights at Icandy, but he’s so much more that that. He is personable, fun, smart (he’s working on his Ph.D.), and knows how to pour a stiff one. (Pro tip: Ask him to make you a Wang Wang.)

Max Cohen
A former server at Boxers PHL and a senior at Temple, Max always made happy hour on Fridays a little bit happier thanks to his infectious smile and humor. While he might be leaving Philly come graduation time next month, you should try to get to know him while there is still time. And if you still aren’t convinced, check out his twerking videos on Instagram.

Dash Sears
If you hang out in the Gayborhood, you know Dash. A former Mr. Gay Philadelphia, and collegiate gymnast, Dash is more than just eye candy (though he does look good in a speedo). He is politically active, working on campaigns for Governor Wolf and Ori Feibush, has helped out with QFest, and is a member of the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus.

Matt Taylor
I could go on for hours about how much I love Matt, but I don’t want to gush too much. Matt works as a massage therapist and is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He is hysterical and always helps put a smile on your face. So whatever is ailing you—physically or emotionally—Matt has got you covered!

Tyler Smith
I met Tyler a few months ago. He is cute, fun, and has a great smile.

Chris Portier
When I first started going out in the Gayborhood, Chris was one of the first people I met. He is cute, athletic and ... happily taken.
