[UPDATE 7:46 a.m.] The boys are safe.
Just before 7 a.m., Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood provided an update, saying police in Staten Island report that Belajonas apparently held-up a CVS Pharmacy in Staten Island and released the boys unharmed. They’re in police custody.
“The information that we’re getting from Staten Island police is that the guy we want for the murder here held-up a CVS in Staten Island,” Chitwood said. “The employee that he held up allegedly is a family member. After he held them up at gunpoint, he then left the kids behind and he took off. He’s also alleged to have some type of posting on Facebook or some type of social media that he had a fight with her over here, and that he won the fight.”
The search for Belajonas continues.
Police are also pointing this photo of Belajonas, which is on what appears to be his MySpace page:
