Philly Mobster Gets 11 Years in Prison

AP reports:

Reputed mob soldier Damion Canalichio (ka-nuh-LEEK’-ee-oh) has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for racketeering, a break from the 20 years sought by federal prosecutors.

They describe the 43-year-old Canalichio as a “made” member of Philadelphia’s La Cosa Nostra, and say he collected debts as part of the group’s gambling and loansharking activities.

Reputed Philly boss “Uncle Joe” Ligambi will be retried in October on charges stemming from the case.
