Ex-Cop Tries To Get Re-Hired After Videotaped Punching
You’ll remember Jonathan Josey, the former Sexy Single who, as a Philly police lieutenant, was videotaped punching at woman at the Puerto Rican Day Parade last year. He was fired from the police, then found “not guilty” of assault at a trial. So now he’s trying to get his police job back:
Despite being found not guilty of assault, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey stood by his decision to fire Josey.
He said he will explain his reasoning when called to testify at the arbitration hearing.
“Just the rationale for having dismissed him — the video, the paperwork that was left,” Ramsey said. “I’ll go over everything in the process that I used to come to that decision.”
The arbitration hearing is expected to take two days.
