NSA Leaker Snowden’s Parents Live in Allentown Area
Edward Snoden, the man who has outed himself as the source responsible for several of the high-profile National Security Agency leaks dominating the headlines, has local roots. His father and stepmother, Lonnie and Karen Snowden, currently live in Upper Macungie, just outside Allentown. Reached by the Morning Call, Karen Snowden said only that she had already been “bombarded” by media, including ABC’s Good Morning America. They will release a statement, but it won’t come today. It’s unclear whether Edward, 29, has ever lived in the area. Snowden, who was working for defense contractor Booz Allen Hamilton, was living in Hawaii before fleeing to Hong Kong, where he revealed his identity.
