Goldtex Union Workers Skirt Jailtime, Get Community Service Instead

Two union workers charged with assault at the infamous Goldtex construction site this summer, have been ordered to perform 18 hours of community service and pay court fines. Michael Pestronk, who with his brother Matthew, is the developer on the project called the ruling “grossly unfair.” He added, “These men are violent criminals and they deserved jail time.” Defendants who agree to community service may have their criminal records expunged.
