Philly Partners with Goldman Sachs to Help Grow Small Biz, Further Enrage Left

Between striking firefighters, angry teachers, and faux-caroling union workers, Philadelphia officials felt it wasn’t doing quite enough to upset left-wing groups and organized labor in the city. So today, it will announce a partnership with Goldman Sachs. While the optics are iffy, the partnership in fact looks pretty innocuous: Goldman will make $15 million in loans available to small businesses through its “10,000 Businesses” initiative, while also paying for a class that teaches accounting and strategy.
