Cory Booker Pillow Talks Frank Lautenberg, Gives Him “Space”

Cory Booker’s new strategy to convince the 88 year-old Lautenberg to give up his senate seat before Cory Booker runs for it: pre-break-up pillow talk. “I want to give him the space to make his own decision,” Booker told Soledad O’Brien this morning on CNN. (Oh but au contraire, it’s Lautenberg who’s repeatedly blown off Cory’s requests to “talk”.) Later in the interview, Booker managed to eked out the L-word after a second-long struggle with his pride and masculinity. “I’m a guy who actually has a deep respect and love for my…for…for him.” C’mon Frankie baby, it’ll be better for you to clear your head a bit. Take six months, take a year. Just let’s not fight in the primary. For the constituents. [CNN]
