Sleeping Woman Shot in Head With Stray Bullet

Thursday was a violent night in Philly as police responded to at least 10 shootings after 5:30 p.m. Three people died and others were wounded as shots rang out across the city. A 61-year-old Frankford woman was shot by a stray bullet while she was sleeping in bed. The bullet had slowed down enough by the time it hit her (it went through the siding of the house) that it didn’t do as much damage as it could have. She was reportedly in stable condition at Hahnemann where she had X-rays done overnight. [Daily News]
