Burglary at Philly’s Hotel Monaco

The brand new Hotel Monaco at 5th and Chestnut officially opened to overnight guests on Thursday. It took all of 48 hours for someone to be burgled. A guest says that his cell phone and wallet were swiped from his suite sometime before 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Apparently the door to his room didn’t close properly and he was waiting for hotel maintenance to come and fix it. The man says that he may have been in the suite at the time of the burglary, but in a different room. [Philly Gossip]
