Jeffrey and Christina Lurie Divorcing. After 20 years of marriage, Eagles owners Jeffrey and Christina Lurie have announced that they will divorce. They say the divorce will have no impact on the operation of the Eagles. [Inquirer]

Three Shot at Party on the Parkway. At approximately 9:20 on Wednesday night, police say they witnessed a 16-year-old boy shoot two other teenagers at 16th and the Parkway. When authorities caught up to the alleged shooter, at 17th and JFK, they say he pointed a gun at police. An officer opened fire, grazing the suspect’s chest. All three of the teens that were shot are currently in stable condition. [6 ABC]

Cliff Lee Wins! Cliff Lee Wins! On July 4, 2012 Cliff Lee was able to secure his first victory of the season as the Phils opened up a seven-run lead on the Mets after back-to-back home runs from Chase Utley and Carlos Ruiz put them up 3-2. [Phillies]

Nero Leads the Pops at Independence Hall. Peter Nero led the Philly Pops in front of a crowd outside Independence Hall. Occupy protesters, a heavy police presence and a poor sound system may have made the annual free concert a little more unique than usual. [Inquirer]

Christie Thinks Bypass Surgery Is Risky. Governor Chris Christie recently said that, while he has struggled with his weight for 30 years, he will not consider gastric bypass surgery an option because it’s too risky. [CBS News]

Joey Chestnut Ate Hot Dogs. Sixty-eight of them to be exact. The three-time Wing Bowl champion took down the annual Fourth of July hot dog contest at Coney Island. He beat three local competitors to do so. [PhillyGossip]

Mann to Add Second Stage. The Skyline Stage and Lawn is set to open at the Mann Center later this month. The lawn for concertgoers will be larger and the stage will be smaller and portable. [Inquirer]
