Senator Bob Casey and Senator Pat Toomey Have an Uncommon, Cross-Party Bond

Their annual staff softball game notwithstanding, Senator Bob Casey (D) and Senator Pat Toomey (R) are, like, BFFs. They had lunch in Scranton. They sat next to each other at the 2011 State of the Union address. They’ve crossed party lines when necessary and are both currently working to save the 911th Airlift Wing in Moon from closure. While many politicians avoid breaking rank and crossing the aisle, Senator Casey and Senator Toomey have cooperated on numerous occasions, talk of a profound mutual respect for one another, and are basically one set of matching tattoos away from being voted most likely to still be friends at the reunion.
