Woman Allegedly Funded Vacations by Stealing From Nursing Home Resident

A Bensalem woman has been arrested following an investigation into the financial activity of a 67-year-old nursing home resident. Investigators say that Virginia Marquardt obtained Power of Attorney over the alleged victim and stole more than $300,000 to buy expensive watches and fund vacations to Vegas and A.C. Authorities were tipped off when Marquardt stopped making payments to the nursing home on behalf of the victim. [NBC Philadelphia]
