30 Rock Mocks Gay Jokes
It's a case of meta-comedy and Tracy Morgan is the punch line
30 Rock is taking its star Tracy Morgan to task over the controversial gays jokes that landed him in hot water last year. The comedian was criticized after he said he would kill his son if he came out as gay. And a lot of his gay fans weren’t laughing.
But the show’s using the incident to try and get some real laughs. And when Morgan’s character tries to apologize for the gaffe by calling Glad (the trash bag company), he gets Tina Fey (as Liz Lemon) to help him out. To that, she tells the world, “He’s just an idiot who doesn’t know what he’s saying.”
