Obama’s Recent Job Record Bests Reagan’s

Since post-recession lows in February of 2010, companies have added 2.6 million jobs. Back in 1982, President Reagan faced a similar challenge and presided over the addition of 2.4 million jobs. The difference, though, is that prior to Reagan’s re-election in 1984 the country’s economy improved dramatically—3.9 million jobs were added in the 12 months leading up to the election. Projections suggest that this time around only approximately 1.6 million jobs will be added next year. [USA Today]
