Lawsuit leads to Julius Erving memorabilia auction
In case you hadn’t noticed the people camped out at City Hall for the past few weeks, some people are experiencing some economic hardship in today’s murky market. Even those people who are fortunate enough to have had substantial wealth (read: the 1 %) can struggle when times get tough. Such is the case for Sixers great Julius Erving. Dr. J is in the midst of a lawsuit and has had to resort to a trophy case fire sale. Among the items up for bid is his 1983 NBA Championship ring earned as a member of the Philadelphia Sixers.
