A Day in Gay America
The Advocate is asking folks from around the world to take pictures today for the second annual “A Day in Gay America” that chronicles the LGBT experience from a very personal perspective.
Regular people and celebrities alike have a chance to share photographs of themselves, their friends, families and significant others in all facets of life – from work to play. The best images will be featured in an upcoming photo essay in November.
Last year’s collection featured everyone from Jake Shears working out at the Chelsea Piers in New York to same-sex couples spending time with their kids in California to people getting ready for work and just sharing snapshots of their day.
Here’s the lowdown:
You don’t need to be a professional photographer.

Viist the Advocate/DayinGayAmerica to upload your photo by Friday, Aug. 19.
