Philly is America’s Fifth Most-Walkable City

Walk Score issues its annual rankings

Walk Score—a website dedicated to promoting walkable cities—has published its annual ranking of the most walkable cities and neighborhoods in the country. Philly came in at number five behind New York, San Francisco, Boston and Chicago. Walk Score takes access to public transit and business locations into account. Center City West and Center City East were found to be the most walkable neighborhoods in Philly. With this—and the Give Respect, Get Respect campaign cracking down on the motorist vs. cyclist issue—it looks like Philly is becoming pretty easy to navigate. [Walk Score]
