Trendy Bug of the Day: Pine Beetles
In case bed bugs and stink bugs weren't troubling enough
It’s always something, isn’t it? As if bed bugs and stink bugs weren’t irksome enough, now there’s another pest to stress about, according to New Jersey officials. Last year, 14,000 trees were killed by pine beetles. The state has a plan to trap them, because they don’t respond to pesticides. (Translation: We can’t kill ’em, so we’ll move ’em.) The Scoop wishes New Jersey lots of luck, but will be showering for the next six hours in an attempt to wash away all this gross bug talk. [CBS3]
