Among the new positions intended to help sort everything out after the release yesterday of a grand jury report detailing sexual abuse in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia? As Newsworks explains, a psychologist “meant to encourage priests’ compliance in such matters” and a woman to help Rigali sort through the report. Her name — wait for it — is Mary Achilles. Irony, anyone? According to this Archdiocese of Philadelphia press release she’s been down this road with the church before — in January 2006.
