Equality Pennsylvania Welcomes New Board Members

The LGBT civil rights organization added seven new advocates in the Commonwealth

Equality Pennsylvania has welcomed seven new members to its Board of Directors at a recent meeting held on Jan. 23. The organization is dedicated to fighting for anti-discrimination, hate crimes protections, marriage equality, safer schools and civil rights for LGBT persons through Pennsylvania. Joining Brian Sims, the board president from Philadelphia, the new board members include:

• Kevin Bennett (Erie): Team Manager of Yoh Managed Staffing at GE Transportation Systems

• Mary Isenhour (Harrisburg): Partner with Isenhour Rooney Strategies LLC

• Richard L. Levine, M.D. (Hershey): Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry and chief of the Division of Adolescent Medicine and Eating Disorders for Penn State Children’s Hospital at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center of Pennsylvania State University

• A.J. Marin (Lancaster): Political organizer and chairman of the Lancaster City Human Relations Commission

• Richard W. McCarty, Ph. D. (Erie): Assistant professor of Religious Studies at Mercyhurst College

• Michael J. Testa (Pittsburgh): CEO of Testa Consulting Services, Inc.

• Reverend Deryck Tines (Pittsburgh): Pastor of ONEChurch and chairman of The ONE Life Project
