How Many Lightbulbs Does It Take to Light Up Franklin Square?
Bright Lights, Big City. Here’s some fun stats to get you through this seemingly endless afternoon. According to Franklin Square’s manager, John Wilson, it took 85,500 bulbs, 300 amps, 47,680 watts of power and more than 520 hours of preparation to jazz up the park for the holiday season. How much was the electric bill? The folks at Geekadelphia didn’t bother to mention it. They did, however, make sure to note that sometimes people do tai-chi in the park. [Geekadelphia]
