Chris Christie’s A Family Man
Meaning his family, not yours. That he probably doesn't really care about
As you probably know, NJ Guv Chris Christie took some heat for flying down to Disney with his family during the holidays and not cutting his vacation short to handle the Christmas weekend snowstorm aftermath in his state. His defense: His family is a priority. Well, the Star-Ledger’s Kathleen O’Brien makes the point (and talks to some women in politics) that a female governor giving that excuse would have faced a misogyrific backlash. Christie’s good family values come out ahead when we’re talking Disney World, Jersey moms and dads, but not so much when it comes to your kids’ education.
